Did you know that Travel Advisor Day is also part of National Travel and Tourism Week (NTTW) — America’s annual salute to travel and tourism? It’s a time when travel and tourism professionals across the country unite to celebrate the value travel holds for our economy, businesses and personal well-being.
NTTW was created by Congress in 1983 to highlight the economic power of travel in the U.S. This year’s theme, “the Spirit of Travel” is extra special because it arrives at an opportune moment to unite the industry, celebrate its indomitable spirit and elevate the role it will play in America’s economic and employment recovery.
Although I will celebrate National Travel and Tourism Week and Travel Advisor Day virtually, I look forward to the day that my clients are out and about exploring a new destination, enriched by what they see, hear, taste and smell.
