We’re going back to Egypt in early 2024!
Egypt is one of the most mysterious destinations on the planet and it was on my bucket list for years! I’ve always been fascinated by what I’ve read and heard about this country. From the iconic Great Pyramids of Giza to mind blowing archeological sites like the Valley of the Kings, the secrets of the Ancient Egyptians have long been a symbol of mystery and wonder. Whether you’re a history buff, an adventure-seeker or a lover of exotic cuisines, Egypt has something to offer for every kind of traveler.
I just returned from leading a “Social Travel Group” to Egypt with 26 happy travelers. We climbed to the top of the Pyramids of Giza, celebrated at a Galabeya party, sailed down the Nile River, floated high above the Valley of the Kings in a hot air balloon, explored many iconic and historical temples and sites, rode camels in the desert, visited the markets and tasted some fabulous cuisine! But the best part was that many of us met for the first time and ended up as fast friends! We shared an amazing experience by traveling to a new destination together!

Egypt is one of the oldest ancient civilizations in the world!
Ancient Egypt is one of the most interesting and oldest civilizations in the world. The Great Pyramids of Giza, the only surviving ancient wonder, along with ancient Egyptian statues and tombs, continue to seize the attention of top archaeologists and, of course, visitors from around the world. To this day, remains of the ancient Egyptian civilization continue to be discovered.

The Nile extends around 6,695km (4,160 miles) and flows into the Mediterranean. We’ll visit a number of attractions along its length; the most prominent being Luxor and Aswan, both of which feature on our exclusive small-group Egypt tour.
Hot Air Balloon Ride Over the Valley of the Kings
This was an unbelievable experience for our group, and I can’t wait to do it again! We’ll take in the beauty of Luxor’s West Bank and float high above the Valley of the Kings, the final resting place of the greatest Pharaohs of ancient Egypt. You’ll also have a bird’s eye view of the ancient monuments of Thebes.
There’s something magical about seeing the sunrise while drifting peacefully over these historical treasures. The views are incredible!
The Great Pyramids of Giza and the Sphinx!
The number 1 attraction in Egypt is the great pyramids in Giza and the Sphinx. Named as one of the wonders of the world, the pyramids are vast and remarkable. And the oldest known monumental structure in Egypt is the Sphinx, were everyone like to take a photo of themselves kissing this mythical creature…including me!
The Grand Egyptian Museum
The largest archaeological museum on the planet, three decades in the making, is opening in late 2023. Just outside of Cairo, the museum will house over 100,000 artifacts, plus King Tut’s entire treasure collection. This is the most highly anticipated institution in the world and its getting ready for its christening. Just wait until you can see with your very own eyes all the amazing artifacts…the things you see online or read about in your history books!
