😎🌍Where are BEAUTIFUL Turquoise Seas & Fairy-tale Architecture? ✈🌎

That’s CROATIA!

WOW!  What a night!!  We had a fabulous time visiting Portugal (virtually) last Thursday evening!  My friend, Jordi Vilaseca, came to us LIVE from Europe and took us on an amazing tour with breathtaking photos! What a beautiful country!

Portugal is filled with exciting history, beautiful tile, cobblestone villages, idyllic scenery, medieval castles, captivating cities and golden beaches. It is also known for fabulous wine (particularly Port Wine) and gastronomy.  It’s all about bringing the land and landscape into every dish.  What a fantastic combination!!

Are you ready to visit Portugal?  Megan and I loved our adventure there and can’t wait to return!

Next Up:  CROATIA!

Croatia is BEAUTIUFL! Croatia is BREATHTAKING!

With piercing turquoise seas and fairytale-like architecture, there is no denying Croatia is breathtakingly beautiful!

Spanning most of the Adriatic Sea, you’re never too far away from the coast when traveling in Croatia.  And even if it’s not pretty beaches you seek, stone castles, magnificent waterfalls, UNESCO sites, and fabulous hiking await travelers of all kinds!

Here are 2 Highlights…

Dubrovnik

Dubrovnik, an ancient walled city and UNESCO World Heritage Site, is one of my all-time favorite cities…. truly charming! It is filled with medieval stone buildings, churches, wonderful restaurants and boutique shops. You will also find the oldest pharmacy in Europe within the city walls. It is still operating today, and people come from all over the world to purchase their natural skin creams that are made from local herbs!

Plitvice Lakes National Park…

Plitvice Lakes is best be described as a paradise–there’s no exaggeration needed! From crystal clear blue seas and rushing waterfalls that belong on a postcard, Plitvice Lakes is the ultimate fairytale destination. It is made up of 16 lakes that are connected by a series of waterfalls surrounded by picture-perfect woodlands. Plitvice Lakes was the inspiration for my group tour in September, 2019 and I am so glad we saw it in person.

While recent events have kept us off planes and, well, on our couch, travel still remains one of the BEST ways to feel a global interconnectedness with humanity.

So, let’s use the power of our minds along with local destination specialist, Zvonimir from Croatia, as he joins us to bring this destination alive with a compelling visual presentation along with Q&A.

Warren Egnal, from DouxVin, will be sharing his expertise on wines that we’ll be tasting from a few regions. The experience will truly touch all your senses.

HERE’S THE PLAN FOR THE LAST TOUR IN OUR SERIES #2:

We have one last Virtual Travel Tour and Wine Tasting that remains.  We’ll use the Zoom Video Platform to present CROATIA along with 1 white and 1 red wine from the country.  Not a wine drinker, no worries.  Join us to be inspired by this amazing destination, with fun and laughter along the way.

Our final tour is to Croatia on Tuesday, September 15th at 8 PM EDT, 5 PM PDT with Zvonimir Androic, Founder of Via Tours Croatia, LIVE from Zagreb, Croatia.

You’ll see gorgeous photos and videos of the region and what you will experience when you travel to Croatia. After this presentation you will be introduced to the final 2 bottles of wine you were shipped, and we’ll taste, ask questions and have a great time.

A fabulous experience…

Here are Highlights of the Wine

CROATIA

(1) Vie di Romans Flors de Uis and (1) Leone de Castris Primitivo Manduria Villa Santera

The production area for Primitivo di Manduria wines stretches eastwards from Taranto, along the Gulf of Taranto coast.

The vineyards are located in a niche microclimate that benefits from soil rich in alluvial fans and minerals that have been carried there by glaciers over the millennia, as well as, the Bora winds from the east that result in large, daily temperature fluctuations. Flors di Uis is a fantasy term that in the Friulano dialect means “flowering of the grapes” and recalls the sweet, floral fragrance of the grapevine blossoms.

I, along with our special guest speaker Zvonimir Androic (affectionately known as “Z”), look forward to sharing insights and tastes from this wonderful destination.

If you have any questions about our event or future travel adventures, please feel free to reach out to me and to Warren for any questions about the wine.

Looking forward to seeing you on September 15th!

In the meantime, take care, wash your hands and stay healthy.
